Sir Horace Edward Moss (1852 - 1912), British theatre impresario and the founder, chairman and joint managing director of the Moss Empires Ltd, the largest group of variety theatres in the UK during the early twentieth century. Well-known for opening the London Hippodrome in 1900, an immense and innovative variety theatre which was the flagship of the group. Pictured at his home, Middleton Hall, Gorebridge, near Edinburgh
