Mr and the Hon. Mrs Bethell, WW1 wedding
The wedding of Mr William Adrian Vincent Bethell to the Hon. Clarissa Tennant on 19 August 1915, featured on the front cover of The Sketch magazine. The bride wore a gown of white brocade with delicate embroidery of silver thread on the tulle net of the sleeves and neck and a train of ermine trimmed silver tissue. The groom wore, the only wear, in other words, khaki as he was in the 2nd Life Guards
