The much-discussed pigmies from the Congo
Six Bambuti pigmies from the Ituri Forest in what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo, in a photograph The Tatler describes as showing, the little folk in their Sunday best'. They were brought to the UK by Colonel Harrison of Brandeston Hall, E. Yorkshire and appeared at the London Hippodrome after which they toured around the country, staying with Harrison in Yorkshire in between times. They returned to the Congo after two years
