The Mudie's of Melbourne
Mr Samuel Mullen's circulating library, Collins Street, East; based on the plan of that in New Oxford Street in London, the source of so much inexpensive intellectual pleasure founded by Mr C. E. Mudie. Half the respectable families in Melbourne belong to Mr Mullen's list of regular subscribers and the Melbourne Mudies is a busy scene on Saturday morning when book exchanges take place
