Nancy Lancaster and David Niven
Mrs Ronald Tree and actor David Niven at a darts contest in a canteen. Nancy Lancaster (1897 - 1994), nee Perkins, was an influential American-born tastemaker, interior decorator and garden designer. She married Ronald Tree in 1920, moving to Britain in 1927; the couple divorced in 1947 and she married Claude Lancaster in 1948. She was associated with the English Country House Style
