Nellie Hutton, International Cycling Match 1895
Nellie (Ellen) Hutton, the youngest member of the English team, at the first professional all female cycling tournament. Held at the Royal Aquarium, Westminster, London, a major entertainment and sports venue, at the time. It was a Six day event between England and France on a huge temporary wooden velodrome in the main hall. The competition was a great success, drawing in crowds with England winning
