Nelson on leave at St. Omer, France 1784
Captain Nelson, on half-pay during peacetime, decided it was economical to stay in France, in St. Omer near Dunkirtk. This was towards the end of 1874 and he stayed long enough to fall in love with the daughter of an English clergyman
