The new lido at Baden
View of the Lido was built at Baden in the 1920s, sixteen miles from Vienna, to attract more visitors. Vast quantities of sand were imported in trucks and lorries to a six acre site where a new bathing establishment was built. There was an open air bath measuring 360 by 145 feet capable of accommodating 2000 bathers at a time. The whole complex cost an estimated £100, 000
