New trouble in Ireland - Mutiny - Anti-British outrage

Page from The Illustrated London News reporting on the mutiny of two officers of the Irish Free State Army, Liam Tobin and Charles Dalton, along with the machine gun attack on British troops at Queenstown in which one soldier was killed and twenty injured along with three civilians. In 1924, a small group of officers, led mainly by former members of The Squad (known as the Twelve Apostles, an IRA unit formed to counter British intelligence), attempted to resist the efforts to demobilise. This situation evolved into what became called the "Army Mutiny"
