Official styles of hairdressing for the 1937 Coronation
Examples of hair styles for the coming Coronation season on display at the Mayfair hotel organised by the Incorporated Guild of Hairdressers. The coiffures in the foreground are suggested as teh most suitable for wearing with a peeress's coronet and those in the background suitable for debutantes. Coronets were worn above light tiaras - quite a lot to fit on one's head
