Opening of the Albert Palace, Battersea
Opening of the Albert Palace in Battersea, London in 1885. Engravings show views of the palace from the lake, the band stand (kiosque), the great organ in the Connaught Hall and the beautiful transept of the Palace. The iron and glass building was partly reconstructed from a building similar to the Crystal Palace used to house the Dublin International Exhibition in 1865
