Looking Eastwards in Piccadilly - an evening scene by Green Park by Cecil King. The Ritz Hotel can be seen on the right, the Berkeley Hotel on the left. The caption mentions Devonshire House which, lies away, aloof and dark, behind its protecting wall and its wrought iron gates. This familiar structure is, also! doomed to destruction very shortly if the projected "improvements there are carried out by the new proprietors."
