Peppino Leoni, a native of Cannero, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, seen here in his restaurant, Quo Vadis on Dean Street, Soho, London. He arrived in London in 1907 and learned his trade as a kitchen boy and then waiter before opening the restaurant in 1926
