Peter Lobengula
Peter Kushana Lobengula, allegedly eldest son of King Lobengula, King of Matabeleland. Peter was one of the leading performers at Frank Fillis's show Savage South Africa at Earl's Court in 1899, which, featuring 200 Africans and 6 elephants, attracted 16, 000 visitors a day. Peter was a controversial figure due to his relationship with a white piano teacher, Kitty Jewell. The pair married but later divorced and Peter remarried an Irish woman with whom he had several children
