Planning a housing estate in Epping Forest
A surveyor at work in the Forest View road area of Epping Forest - part of Wanstead Flats - requisitioned for building by East Ham Council despite the opposition of the Epping Forest Committee of the City of London Corporation. Sixty-five houses were to be built and the council was requesting a further parcel of land in order to build a proposed new secondary school. Fortunately, the building project did not go ahead and Wanstead Flats remains as it was to this day
