P&O Steam-ship Pera, January 1856
The Peninsular and Oriental Navigation Company's new steam-ship Pera, January 1856. This vessel was built by Messrs. Mare, of Blackwall, to a design by Mr. James Ash. Pera was the largest of P&O's ships and was also one of the fastest, running at twelve-and-a-half knots in her sea trials
