Printed Fortnum & Mason dresses for the Riviera casinos
Elegant evening dresses in print crepe-de-chine, among the styles seen in the casinos of Southern France according to The Sketch magazine in which this photograph was featured. On the left, is a dress boldly patterned in coral and gold on a white background. The back is cut up in a point and there is a double sash. Duster-check silk hopsack in pink and green on white makes the second dress which is completely backless but has a matching cape with amusing pleated tabs which stress the shoulder line. Both from Fortnum and Mason
