Relief work among the families of Welsh coal-miners

Due to the closure of pits, miners and their families were left without any employment or means of subsistence. They relied on charity which was barely enough to keep body and soul together. Here a volunteer distributes clothes and boots for children to miners homes to prevent long queues at distributing centres
