RMS Carnarvon Castle Passing the Needles, 1927
Illustration of the Union-Castle Line Royal Mail Motorship Carnarvon Castle passing the Needles, Isle of Wight, on its way to South Africa. Carnarvon Castle gave service in World War II as a troop ship, before being returned to the Union-Castle line to resume carrying passengers and mail. She was retired from this service in 1962
