RMS Mauretania, ocean liner being launched 1938
The launch of the RMS Mauretania unveiled the name by Lady Bates, wife of the Chairman of the Cunard White Star taking place at Cammell Laird's yard, Birkenhead. She was one of the first ships built for the newly formed Cunard-White Star company following the merger in April 1934 of the Cunard and White Star Line
