RMS Tartar, 1883

Union Steam-ship Company's Royal Mail Steamer Tartar and, inset, the Dining Saloon on board the ship. Launched in 1883, the Tartar worked for the Union company until 1897 when it was sold to the Canadian Pacific Line. In 1908 the Tartar was scrapped after sustaining damage by running aground
