Captain Robert Falcon Scott, the English naval commander and explorer, and his son, Peter Markham Scott, taken in late 1909 or early 1910. Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912) departed for Antarctica in 1910, where he died in 1912, having led the second team to reach the South Pole. Peter Scott (1909-1989) achieved fame in later life as an artist and ornithologist
