Teenagers dancing in the street and milling around outside the Gaiety Cinema in Manchester following a screening of Rock Around the Clock starring Bill Haley and the Comets. The film prompted a number teenage hoodlums to cause a disturbance and rip out some of the cinema's fittings. Police eventually had to be called to disperse the crowd
