Page from the Illustrated London News featuring examples of work by students of the British School at Rome, which was founded in 1901 for the benefit of British students pursuing serious studies in Italy. The works were exhibited at Burlington House in 1921 and include paintings by Winifred Knights and A. Outlaw who both paint The Deluge, sculpture by Alexander Styles, C. W. Dyson Smith and A. F. Hardiman, and other versions of The Deluge by G.C.L. Underwood and J. Wilkie
