The Roof Garden of Downs Hotel, Hassocks
The Roof Garden of the Downs Hotel, Hassocks, fitted up like an ocean liner. Beyond are seen the undulating Sussex Downs. The hotel was one of a number of venues in the south, in close proximity to London, that provided a host of facilities to fun-seekers of the 1930s during the summer months from swimming pools to cocktail bars
