From left, Countess Mountbatten in a very smart bolero dress by Molyneux, Lady Mary Herbert in brown and silver spotted lame by Bianca Mosca, the Marchioness of Linlithgow in a black velvet suit and hat by Hartnell, Lady Fermony in Bianca Mosca's deep red wine velvet dress, the Countess of Bessborough in a black, wool suit by Hartnell, the Countess of Haddington in a dress by Angela Delanghe, Lady Braebourne in a Molyneux dress of emerald green velvet with matching bolero and finally, the Marchioness of Carisbrooke in a velvet Hartnell dress
