Scene on board the SS Sumatra, 1875
Scene entitled Search on the Forecastle on board the P&O steamer Sumatra'. It would appear that one of the ship's officers is conducting a search of a passengers belongings. The Sumatra had rescued the shipwrecked crew of the Turkish vessel Medina on this voyage and it appears there might have been some tension between the two crews
