Three wounded soldiers who have visibly done their bit for King and Country pass two men in civilian clothes escorting a woman along the sea front at a coastal resort, possibly Brighton where a lot of wounded men recuperated. The contrast between the soldiers and civilians speaks volumes; men who had not joined up were criticised in the press and through illustrations such as this
