The Spanish tennis player, Lili d'Alvarez, pictured playing on court at Wimbledon wearing a pair of divided trousers - or culottes - designed by Schiaparelli. They caused a fashion sensation but Alvarez lost in the second round to British player, Miss Dorothy Round
