With the mast at full height (higher than Nelson's Column), Bermuda-rigged for racing, and (within the dotted lines) Yawl-rigged for Atlantic crossings. Owned by Sir Thomas Lipton, Shamrock V was defeated by the American yacht Enterprise in the Americas Cup races
