Sir Herbert and Lady Stern at Strawberry Hill
Sir Herbert de Stern and his wife, Lady Stern at the door of Strawberry Hill, the famous Gothic style house, once owned by Horace Walpole. Sir Herbert bought it in 1881 and entertained there in the summer where, The Tatler tells us, his garden parties in the beautiful grounds are largely attended by the fashionable world
