Front cover of The Sketch magazine featuring a photograph of Miss Elizabeth Asquith, daughter of ex-Prime Minister Herbert Asquith, at her wedding to the Romanian diplomat Prince Antoine Bibesco in May 1919. Her ivory satin dress was covered in antique venetian and rose point lace with a train of brocaded velvet lined with cloth-of-silver. There were three wedding ceremonies - a registry office, another at a Greek church in Romania and the main event at St. Margaret's, Westminster
