Society's Saturday: Tea on the lawn at Ranelagh
Outdoor scene at the Ranelagh Club in Barnes. Ranelagh was a social club and pleaure garden where society could meet and participate in activities such as polo, gymkhanas or childrens plays. This particular scene shows a crowd of ladies and gentlemen seated at outdoor tables being served tea by waiters. The large hats popular in the early 1900's are worn by the ladies
