Steam Engine which fell down a lift shaft - Waterloo Station
A steam engine locomotive which plunged down a 42-ft goods lift shaft at Waterloo Station, London which connected the high level Station to the Waterloo and City Line. The Driver and Fireman jumped clear as did workers at the bottom of the shaft
