Steve Donoghue back in the saddle
Steve Donoghue (1884 - 1945), English flat race jockey, winner of the Epsom Derby on six occasions pictured riding a donkey at a fete for disabled soldiers at Gifford House, Roehampton. Donoghue had suffered a nasty fall from his horse at the Grand Prix de Paris earlier that year and had a broken arm but was well on the way to recovery by the time this picture was taken
