Suzanne Lenglen's tennis outfits for Selfridges 1933

A page depicting the outfits designed and modelled by Suzanne Lenglen for Selfridges, shown exclusively in the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News. Lenglen prefers a one-piece garment (naturally the shorts are separate) and is very enthusiastic about the model of which back and front views are shown here. An important feature of the other is the manner in which the stole belt passes through the slots. Available in a variety of fabrics the outfits cost 30 shillings. The Lenglen bandeau is 4s. 6d and the daring player has dispensed with stockings, preferring instead to use Velva Beauty Film by Elizabeth Arden
