The daughter of Henry Tiarks, a City banker and the actress Joan Barry, she went on to marry Robin, Marquess of Tavistock, heir to Woburn Abbey. She is now Dowager Duchess of Bedford. The Tatler reports she was to share a dance with her cousin, Miss Tania Tiarks, is interested in languages and history and is a keen horsewoman and is at present studying in Madrid. She briefly pursued a modelling career until her marriage
