Photographs show a game of backgammon on the street in Erevan, a russian uniform reminding people that Armenia is part of the USSR, clock industry, G. Aghabian, chief architect of Erevan standing before the decorated cast-iron door of the new market he designed. Opposite page shows a girl in Armenian costume with very long pigtails, His Holiness Vazgen the First, Nigogos Nigogosian, sculptor, and a young girl carrying her lunchtime loaves to the local brandy factory
