The Temple Lawn, Chiswick House
The Great Lawn and Ornamental Water, with temple and bridge, and exhibition of giraffes during the Duke of Devonshire's grand fete at Chiswick House. The Illustrated London News reports that at this party one giraffe waded out to meet the King of Saxony and his attendants, who were approaching by boat, which greatly amused the royal party
