Tyrolean Singers and dancers of Toni Praxmair's bar
The Tyrolean Singers and dancers of Toni Praxmair's bar at Kitzbuhel performing at a five-week season of cabaret at The Washington on Curzon Street, Mayfair, London. The troupe, ten boys and four girls led by Zither Player Toni Praxmair himself are guides, ski-instructors, wood-carvers or farmers. The girsl are waitresses. In these pictures, the troupe are performing the Watschentanz, the ear-boxing dance, a merry rough-and-tumble showing how mountain lads enjoy wrestling against each other.
