Engraving by Sir John Gilbert, featured in The Illustrated London News in 1932 to show how the painter Richard Sickert used Gilbert's engravings as the basis for a series of paintings he called English Echoes'. Gilbert was one of the ILN's first contributors and was a mainstay of the publication during its first few decades
