Unveiling the Royal Air Force Memorial on the Embankment
To commemorate the Battle of Britain, a service of thanksgiving was held in Westminister Abbey, followed by a ceremony at the Royal Air Force, where Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Trenchard unveiled the additional inscriptions for those who died in World War II on Battle of Britain
