War and the Mode - Russian influenced fashions during WW1

Two outfits inspired by the Russian Allies during World War One. On the left, a blue serge is employed for the dress with trims in narrow black braid and astrachan, which is worn with a white patent leather belt. The suit on the right is of white velour enriched with astrachan, finished with braid buttons. The toque hats are of astrachan draped slightly to one side and both outfits are completed with Russian lucky tokens worn around the neck
