Winston Churchill in siren suit, 1943
In Washington in 1943 to see President Roosevelt, Churchill wore his famous siren suit, which he delightedly displayed for American cameramen. This suit, which he had specially made, could, he claimed, be zipped on in less than a minute, thus saving valuable time for decisions of state
