An advert for Claxton ear cap. Worn by babies and young children as they slept, this pink ribbon ear cap was aefor correcting and preventing the disfigurement of outstanding earsn. Patented by Claxton, the advertisement promised that the cap would prevent ugly ears. Claxton ear caps first appeared in the 1890s
