Miss Drever had made a recent hit in The Chocolate Soldier'at the Lyric Theatre, and had been compared to the late comedienne, Nellie Farren. Captioned, A Modern Nellie Farren'. The Chocolate Soldier, an operetta by Oscar Straus, was based on Arms and the Man, by George Bernard Shaw
