The Funeral of General Ulysses S. Grant

The funeral of General Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885) in Washington, D.C. 8th August 1885. We see coffin bearers bringing him into into the Capitol, Albamy, and the 7 mile long procession led by Major General W.S. Hancock. Grant was an American Civil War hero, leading the Unionists to victory against Robert E. Lee and the Confederates, and he later served as the 18th U.S. President (1869-1877)
