Lady Burghley, Ambulance Driver

Captioned, Lady Burghley, sister of H.R.H. the Duchess of Gloucester, and wife of Lord Burghley, M.P:, the well-known athlete, and elder son of the Marquess of Exeter, is a Volunteer Ambulance Driver. Here she is, complete with her tin helmet and Civilian Duty gas-mask about to step into her ambulance. She was Lady Mary Montagu-Douglas-Scott, married Lord Burghley in 1929, and has three daughters, the Hon. Davina Mary, the Hon. Gillian Moyra, and the Hon. Angela Mary Cecil, born in 1931, 1935 and 1938 respectively
