Lord Chancellor Alverstone getting sworn in
Lord chancellor and the judges attending a special service in Westminster Abbey. The judges proceeded to the law courts where Lord Alverstone, the new Lord Chief Justice in succession to the previous Lord Russel is seen being sworn in, taking his seat at the Law courts. The oaths being administered by Master Mellor, the Queens Coroner. He was in office from October 1900 to October 1913
