Madrid Mob burns Arms of German Legation
A Spanish mob burns the arms of the German Legation in the Puerta del Sol, Madrid. This was in response to the Carolines Crisis (/Question), a conflict between the two states over the ownership of the Caroline Islands. Around 30, 000 people demonstrated in Madrid. Spain eventually regained control of the islands
